David Bowie’s essential reading list

I’m kind of loathe to write anything about David Bowie at the moment. A lot of people are dealing with their feelings about his death very openly – which, I suppose, is understandable. Many of the experiences that people have grown up with and had throughout life are soundtracked by his music.

But I was thinking about the list that I found on MARIA POPOVA’s Brainpickings a little while ago and that I had forgotten about it until now. So for posterity’s sake and my own benefit, here’s a link. I read Before the Deluge: Portrait of Berlin in the 1920s after seeing this list. What a great book.
