Lingo: a language spotter’s guide to Europe — Gaston Dorren

WOWOWOW. I love languages. I bought this after searching for books on Esperanto. This has a small section on the language but actually contains short chapters (around 50–60 of them) on European languages living, limboed and dead. Dorren writes in a very entertaining way and suggests words that ought to be in English but aren’t along the way.
